How do you travel?

I love adventure. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. I really love trying new food.

What about you?

My husband and I just finished driving 2200 miles roundtrip from my home in New Hampshire to Kentucky, where I grew up. I got to see my mom, my three brothers and their families, and my son and his new (to me) girlfriend. The drive took 3 days both directions for a total of 6 days. We were in Kentucky for almost 2 weeks.  It was beautiful driving and Kentucky had all the beginnings of fall color.

This trip had me thinking about how others travel so I looked up a travel quiz. These were the top five questions:

What is the most important experience of traveling?

  • Driving direct to the destination? Stopping to have an experience? Meandering?

My answer: I am somewhere between driving directly to the destination and maybe making one stop. I get too restless if there are too many breaks in the momentum of the journey.

Where do you like to sleep?

  • Luxury? Convenience? Practical?

I am definitely a convenience traveler. I prefer clean, quiet, and easy to access.

Where do you like to eat?

  • Sit down? On the go? Take food with you?

I take my food with me most of the time. I am kind of a picky eater with food allergies.

When do you have the most energy?

  • Morning? Mid-day? Night?

Totally a morning person. I am ready to get going first thing in the morning, but I do like my tea first!

What do you wear for travel?

  • Current and classy? Snazzy and dressy? Sunday comfortable?

I am not sure where to put the jeans, T-shirt, and a sweatshirt. Somewhere between snazzy and dressy with Sunday comfortable.

How do you travel? Think about your last trip and try answering the questions!
