The Magic of Baking Soda & Salt Body Scrub

I love energy and I love science. I have the perfect thing to share today – a recipe and practice that combines both!

The lymphatic system is very necessary for detoxification of the body. The lymphatic system works together with the immune system to help keep us healthy. Salt is used in this mixture because it stimulates the superficial lymphatic vessels in the skin, is easily available, and dissolves quickly. The skin is the largest organ in our body and is home for our lymphatic system. The fastest and easiest way to activate the lymphatic system is through the skin.

Baking Soda is an alkaline that cleans and clears your energy field. ‘Alkaline’ refers to baking soda’s pH level. The pH level of a substance is the measure of how acidic or alkaline it is on a scale of 0 to 14. A value of 7 is neutral. Anything lower is acidic – higher is alkaline. I like to think of acidic and alkaline substances as positive and negatively charged particles. The ‘positive’ alkaline nature of baking soda helps clear the negatively charged particles from your energy field. This in turn promotes the positive alignment of your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. To put it simply, the clearer your energy, the better you feel.

This is how you can make and use this magic “do it yourself” scrub.

Mix salt and baking soda together (equal parts) in a plastic container. It sits outside of the shower. I have a pretty large container, so I mix two cups of each. At the very end of your normal shower routine, and with the water still running, grab a handful of the mixture and start scrubbing it on your body. I start at my feet and work my way up. The mixture dissolves quickly as you rub, so keep grabbing additional mixture as you work your way up until you reach the top of your body. Now rinse off. Please moisturize. This important last step keeps the lymphatic vessels ready to move the debris out.

I do this daily to keep my skin, lymphatic system, and my energy in good shape.
